Randy Moss and Terrell Owens Want To Play
Randy Moss who turned 35 years old today said today that he is not retired and would like to play football next season. Moss has been out of the league for a year has tossed his name in the hat of free agent WRs. Mosses production had started declining. Moss had 98 receptions for 1493 yards, and 23 TDs in 2007, but has been on the decline since 2007. Moss has a history of giving up on plays and not always playing full speed when he is not happy.
Terrell Owens is another aged WR looking to play next year. Owens unlike Moss had ACL surgery on his knee last year. Owens is 38 years old making him 3 years older than Moss. Owens has been labeled a trouble maker in the locker room, but has always played hard when on the field. Like Moss Owens productivity has declined since 2007, but had a good year in 2010 with the Bengals with 72 receptions for 983 yards, and 9 TDs. In 2007 Owens had 81 receptions for 1,355 yards, and 15 TDs.
Randy Moss Career Stats In 13 Season

AVG 15.6
TDS 153
Terrell Owens Career Stats in 15 Season
REC 1,078
TDS 15,934

The thought is that Moss wants to play for a contender and Owens just wants to play. Will anyone take a chance on either of these guys? Would you as a Jaguar fan want either of these guys on your team as a number 2 or number 3 WR?

There is no way in Hell I would sign either of these 2.
Not because they are A-holes, which they are, but because they have nothing left. They are ancient. Moss was one of the greatest WRs ever, but his greatest strength was his ability o outrun any DB. That’s waaaaay behind hi at this point.

Can Help a Team
I think Moss can still play, but I don’t know about TO. With the right team that has a good veteran core or players these guys are okay. Put them on a team like the Jets and all hell breaks loose. Put them on a team like the Ravens or the Giants and they will be okay.
Put either of those guys on the Ravens or the Giants and they're riding the bench...

Neither one of these guys makes the Giants.
First, because the Giants have 3 better receivers right now.
Second, because neither one would be able to stay within Coughlin’s rule system.

They are 3rd options
I think they are both be number 3 WRs with most teams and number 2 with a few teams and 4 with a few teams.
Hell no
They’re both broke! One is playing indoor football, not even Arena ball. The other sold his truck team.
Moss’s thing this morning was like Stephon Marbury eating paste, disturbing and sad.

Weird.

Oh yeah!
sign them both! They both would put up 1,000 yard seasons and the Jags would have the best Offense in the league! Oh Yeah!!!!!!

Well....we wouldn't have to worry about media coverage lol...

Not sure why
but I have a gut feeling Moss has another year in him following being out of the game for a season. Given the total embarrassment of a WR group in Jacksonville, I would consider looking at Moss purely on a 1 year deal for little cost.

If both of them want to play.....
let them play with each other!
They already play with themselves enough...

Really
TO at 38 and a year removed from the league is still better than any of our “Young Blossoming Receiver”. Not joinging the sign TO bandwagon but talent wise he would be an upgrade. “The Cancer” had a productive tenure with every team except Buffalo so all of you with those Teal(Black) colored glasses need to stop lying to yourself.
Okay lets say they were to come back and be the T.O. of 2010
Both of these guys issues have always been with not getting balls thrown their way. That’s an attitude a team should only put up with if they are the T.O. of 2004
Hmm, I'm torn.
On one hand, these guys are pure locker room poison, not to mention past their prime. On the other hand, our WR core couldn’t catch a cold at this point.
Ready To Rise
Fear Not
The consensus issue with the Jaguars is wide receiver….something we have neglected to get any premier talent at since Jerry Porter (lol). Khan dealt the cash out for what looks like is an all star coaching staff and non-football staff.
I think Khan is too smart of businessman NOT to get a top-dollar WR. We wont need those guys.
Hurt or Help?
If we do sign them the worst that could happen is they dont perform and we lose money but is it going to hurt us, i mean look at our Receivers
