Super Bowl XLVI Open Thread
It's that time. It's time for Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots in Indianapolis, IN at Lucas Oil Stadium. Discuss the game here.
Who does everyone have winning? I like the Patriots to win, since everyone is picking the Giants and the Patriots are still favored in Vegas. Vegas knows.

Remember guys
This is Manningham’s Jags audition.
i wouldnt mind seeing manningham in jacksonville
If you've made enemies then you've stood up for something
Indy is terrible
This is the worst atmosphere Ive ever seen in a super bowl. It should be a home game for the best team like it used to be. Also football is meant to be played outside not in these crummy domes. They try and ruin football i swear. This should be played in cold weather right now.
Ugh...
wow Gene Smith really blew it not drafting JPP.
by Luv4Chr!st on Feb 5, 2012 7:48 PM EST via Android app reply actions
Yup
Because going into the draft everybody knew that the raw athlete that played about 2 years of football would be a stud in the league, yea, that guy is ridiculous
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Feb 5, 2012 7:51 PM EST up reply actions
Yup
they knew he was going to be a stud, lets make sure they draft who ever the mocks have them taking this year

... We really gonna do this again?
A leaked picture of the Cowboys’ board had Alualu in their top 20, and reports came out that the Pats were interested in him at 14.

He would?
How do you know that?
And in that scenario, JPP still wouldn’t have been the pick

you have no argument plain and simple JPP should have been the pick
its not that hard half the god damn country thought he was goin to us

haha besides Suh who would u say has been a better player than JPP from the 2010 draft?
your saying we shouldnt of selected JPP cause he was to raw… how does that argument even hold up when he is now performing at an elite level several years later?

This Giants team has lots of similarities to the Jaguars teams when Coughlin ran the show here.
Big strong pass catching TE ala Kyle Brady. Strong D-Line. A QB that can make all the throws. The only thing that’s missing is a great RB like Fred Taylor.
Someone in the NFL office should make that freaking slob wear atleast a polo shirt!
Belacheat is a friggin’ disgrace. This is the biggest sporting event in the world and this A-hole shows up in that nasty sweatshirt. Uh Bill, the games in a dome … It’s 70 degrees in there … Nobody cares about your “I’m a rebel” attitude! Show some professionalism, you represent the entire league, all 32 teams!!!
by TCJagsFan on Feb 5, 2012 8:02 PM EST via mobile reply actions
that is a stupid issue to have with belicick
is the Super Bowl a black tie event where everyone is wearing tuxedos? It is not even like Coughlin is super fancy. He is wearing a Giant vest. If Bellicick wants to wear a hoodie, then let him go right head and wear one!!

Whatever!!!
Who said anything about a black tie event? I only said kill respectable … Nothing about tuxedos! Crist!
Coughlin atleast looks like a football coach and doesn’t look like a friggin’ migrant farm worker.
by TCJagsFan on Feb 5, 2012 9:40 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
not sure if Bellicheck does nt look like a coach
you must have some grudge against bellicick and you are looking for any excuse to criticize him

Hey, atleast he shook Coughlin's hand!
Last time he went whining back to the locker room like the puke he is instead of showing some respect and sportsmanship and shaking hands after the game.
It appears he’s crying again. They aren’t talking to NBC either.

with the littlest of of issues,
That would be like me criticizing you because I don’t like that your name starts with TC. Stop being such a …

domes are stupid, play football outside you scrubs, if you're not going to a game due to rain you arent a fan at all imo
If you've made enemies then you've stood up for something
Can you people let the dome thing go
they want the best possible conditions to play the most important game of the year, why is that such a hard concept to grasp?

Sold me...
that throw and catch was just silly! Manningham would look nice is black and teal…
by Luv4Chr!st on Feb 5, 2012 9:37 PM EST via Android app reply actions
Not disapointed with the upcome... but
I don’t understand how the Pats lost 8 seconds (with 17 left) on a Giants penalty (too many men on the filed). Might as well get that penalty until they run out of time. Stupid.
Those are the rules, you don't get that time back at any other point in the game
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Feb 5, 2012 10:00 PM EST up reply actions
...I understand
..but what would keep the Giants from having 12 men on the field for the next couple of plays? Burn the rest of the time You shouldn’t be penalized for another teams penalty. Also, how do you lose 8 seconds when 12 men are on the field at the start of the play?
They hardly ever stop the play because of a Defensive penalty
unless they count the players before the play starts, which they would have done after it happened once.
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Feb 5, 2012 10:09 PM EST up reply actions
Defensive penalties called after the snap are free plays
The time is lost regardless of it being accepted or not
