SB Nation 2012 Mock Draft
Greetings Big Cat Country, P_Roach17 here from Bleeding Green Nation attempting to organize a SB Nation-wide mock draft. After a disappointing season for my Birds, and being less than thrilled with having to watch the Giants win the SB, i'm left with a football void at my core. So, as a result, I'm turning to the rest of SB Nation to satisfy not only my football needs, but the needs of others who are on the outside looking in during this 2011 postseason. You will of course be representing the Jacksonville Jaguars, who currently hold the 7th overall pick in the 2012 draft, as I'm sure you all know. Your cooperation in this poll is greatly appreciated. Note: I would like for this poll to reflect the fans choice, not necessarily who you think your team will draft. Now for a few quick rules.
Rules:
1) There will be no trading picks. Trading picks would be both complicated, and time consuming, so everyone will just stay put at their set draft position.
2) Submit your votes for the player of your choice as soon as possible. After 2 days the results of the poll will be final, Big Cat Country will submit its pick at 1am on 2/10/12, and The Phinsider will be on the clock.
3) If you feel as though I have left a player out that deserves consideration as your teams draft selection, then let me know in the comments section, and I will gladly add them.
4) Any draft talk (or argument) that is to be made pertaining to your Jags' pick, feel free to make in the comments section.
5) ******** Be sure to rec this post so that it will remain under the recommended fan post section for everyone to see, and so that they are able to cast their vote *********
Previous picks:
1) Indianapolis Colts - Andrew Luck
2) St. Louis Rams - Matt Kalil
3) Minnesota Vikings - Morris Claiborne
4) Cleveland Browns - Robert Griffin III
5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Trent Richardson
6) Washington Redskins - Justin Blackmon
Hopefully this can be a fun experience for all of SBnation, as well as provide insight into the upcoming NFL draft. Be sure to vote and keep the ball rolling so that the rest of SB Nation can participate. Thanks for your time, and good luck in the upcoming season. Big Cat Country is now on the clock!

I Don't Know
Mock drafts are hard to do before free agecny. I think Coples or Kirkpatrick, but it all depends on who the Jags sign in free agency.
Did you see the Eben Britton piece on Jaguars.com?
Eben says he’s getting better. It would be nice to have Eben back at the same level of his first year. An Eben playing well at RT would free us up to upgrade other areas of need. Having said this, I still think we need insurance in the form of another RT pickup (FA or draft) to solidy that spot.
Poll extended
Since the fanpost section went MIA for a day I’m going to extend the poll to 2/11/ at 1 am
im startin to think ingram
gene tried larry hart, a smallish guy in the mold of freeney. Ingram could be freeney. His spin move is special and ive seen it work on Guards too.
when you said ingram i thought mark ingram
then you describe DE and it got me really confused. only then I remembered it is Trent Richardson coming in this year and Mark Ingram is already in the NFL. Then and only then did I remember Melvin Ingram.

NA BRA
We take Coples at #7 ……He will turn into a beast for us and wreck havoc for years to come …….we need to get this guy for sure !!!

Rather have Coples over Kirkpatrick
If it comes down between the two, take Coples. More of a physical specimen that has a chance to dominate as a DE in the NFL. As we saw with NYG, can’t have enough legit pass rushers.
