    I like it

i think we may be able to get josh norman in the the third. I would go Criner or sanu in the second. There’s no no way doug martin falls to the bottom of the third round.

    There was more pressing needs

needed to be filled, so teams who needed backs passed him up.

Still don’t see us passing up on a wr in the first round.

by Jdodd51208 on Feb 8, 2012 12:26 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Other than the fact a WR rated high enough to be picked at #7 won’t be available.

by muddyballs on Feb 8, 2012 12:29 PM EST up reply actions

    I wouldnt

My personal choice would be Kendall Wright. I like him more than any of the Wrs coming out, people talk about how blackmon fights to get open, this kid does it and when he gets the ball in his hands hes hard to bring down. Oh and did i mention he’s expected to run atleast in the lower 4.3s hes half the reason rg3 is going to be a top 3 pick. With that being said id try to trade down first but i wouldnt pass him up.

by jager-lota on Feb 8, 2012 12:39 PM EST reply actions

    Great but what about trades?

I see the Redskins trading up with Minnesota to get RG3. This could free up Blackmon to our 7th pick. If there isnt a trade I would take De Castro 1st because He is ready to start and I think we need help for Blaine. My board would be Blackmon/ De Castro/ or Couples. Very good Mock draft. I agree with your round 3 pick my only exception on the 43rd pick would have Jeffery if available and then Mc Nutt . The 69th would be Quick (I agree) or Jones in that order. Go Jags “The Men In Black” ?

    I have Redskins

as signing Flynn in FA, Miami keeping Moore, Luck to Colts, Griffin to Browns, and Tannehill to Seahawks.

    That sounds good

I understand but I think we will see a big surprise in 2nd to 6th pick. Flynn while tested will cost a lot more than RG3 under the new CBA? I think you have a great argument and I liked your research. I will copy it with your permission and watch the draft. Thanks

    on the trade value chart
    1. is worth 520 points, #43 is worth 470 points, that’s 50 points, Seattle’s 3rd rounder(#76) is worth 210. We received their 5th and 7th which combined are worth 46.3 points. We can find a quality player in the 5th, and a gem in the 7th hopefully.

    interesting

it actually never dawned on me the second round pick could be a good one to trade. As for the actual picks, I like them with the exception of Quick. I am cooling off on him and think better guys could be had in the third.

    In the third

I was going to take Joe Adams, but I mocked him to St. Louis, so I took Quick.

    he would have been better

still think there are better options just at WR. Juron Criner and TY Hilton are the two names that pop into my head

    i think quick

in a limited role, can develop into a good player, with jerry sulivan and hopefully a star veteran in front of him.

    I'm going...

print out the last one you do right before the draft just to compare. If you do well enough, I would really suggest you document it and use it to help yourself get on the path to becoming a scout. You’re damn good at this stuff.

    nope

I like both players, I know Gene loves small school players, but I love Josh Norman, and I do like Brian Quick. I think both are great selections, and with Gene liking small school guys, could both very well be the picks.

    2 overlooked players

    WR Chris Givens Wake Forest
    CB Leonard Johnson Iowa State

by bdk790 on Feb 8, 2012 11:59 PM EST reply actions

Reasons I won't mock them to Jags...

Johnson: Too short for my liking, we have our nickel back, and he’s 5’10", the guy is pretty good, but I really don’t like my starting corners to be under 5’11". I actually prefer my corners to be 6’1", and atleast 190 lbs. Unless he’s BAP, and he’s filling a need, I’ll take him, but I won’t reach for him, and won’t take him if the need is filled. But I’m not GM. He also struggles against the run.
Givens: Small school, slot receiver. Already got Shorts to develop.

    WF is a small school?

I know its literally a “small school”, but its still D.1 football in the ACC

I would choose Marvin Jones or possibly Reuben Randle over Quick but all in all good mock.
