honestly, just trolling for thoughts/insights from you guys. if gene could take our defense, ranked 31st, and turn it into the sixth ranked defense with free agent aquisitions like dwight lowery and dawan landry, do we care if he never hits a 'home run' in the draft? for instance, if he got our offense into the top ten without getting someone who is an obvious franchise player like mjd in the draft- not just this year, but for the near future- and we still have plenty of cap space as we do now- why would one care?
