Mark one less wide receiver free agent off the market for the Jacksonville Jaguars, as the Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced they have placed their franchise tag on wide receiver DeSean Jackson. I'm not sure if Jackson was actually going to be a target for the Jaguars, but he was another fish in the pond so to speak that would be a target for other teams interested in a receiver.
#Eagles announced they placed their franchise designation on WR DeSean Jackson. Was expected all along.

The Eagles were expected to place the franchise tag on Jackson, but the belief around most league circles are that the Eagles will now open the trade hotline to see what they can get for DeSean Jackson in a trade. My guess would be a high to mid second-round pick would get the job done, in that regard.
