The Jaguars have had turmoil at the punter position since Adam Podlesh escaped to Chicago through free agency. Harris joined the Jaguars in October 2011 after the Jaguars released, then-starter, Matt Turk.
Harris, 33, finished the season with a 42.7 yard per punt average and a 37.9 net punting average. Lanning was signed to a futures contract following the 2011 season.
