Why in the world did Gene smith not go and sign this guy, He just got a deal with the Patriots. He seams like a Gene Smith type of player, high character, and hard working. He runs good routes and manages to get seperation. Ya i get that hes 30, but I just feel like he would be good in the locker room.

Plus if we did Draft a WR in the early rounds. He could be a mentor to him and all the other young WR's. He could show Mike Thomas what playing with effort is all about. This might not be the best example, but look what bringing in Torry Holt did For MSW his Breakout Year.

The last part is He said in an Interview that he wouldnt mind playing for the jags. I just dont see how bringing him in for a visit would of hurt, and oh yea his contract is 3 YEAR 12 MILLION. Thats it for one of the best WR's in Free Agency.(SMH)
