PALM BEACH -- Jaguars general manager Gene Smith said he is prepared to look to the draft for a defensive end. The Jaguars have launched a kids club for ages 6-12. A membership kit comes with a personalized certificate, T-shirt, lanyard, cinch pack, pencil case, shoelaces, beach ball and eye black stickers. There’s also a monthly e-newsletter sent to parents, invitations to members-only events and contests, a birthday card from Jaxson de Ville and access to special offers from participating team partners, a news release said.

The Jaguars’ 11-year veteran defensive end has been around the NFL long enough to know that, and he knows, too, there are plenty who doubt what he can do with the rest of his NFL career. But Kampman said he knows something else more important than those two things.
