With new contracts and Franchise tags being placed today the Free Agency Pool is set. The Jags have 3 big needs: WR, DE, and Corner. There are question that may need to asked in regards to all of these positions but the receiver position has a couple questions.
Obviously the only possible #1's that catch your eye at this point Colston and V. Jackson. Both of these guys have at least one question that needs to be answered. When considering Jackson, which few of us think the jags will pursue, its a question of his off the field and character issues. However when it comes to Colston I have 1 big question: Iss he is or can he be a #1 receiver. I say because I, and probably others, are curious if the success that Colston had was due to his ability, the fact that he was in that high powered Saints offense with Drew Bres and all those other weapons, or if it was a combination of both. Don't get me wrong Colston is good, I've seen him snag some nice catches, but wether he is #1 good is yet to be seen.
Obviously a lot of people have thrown names like Josh Morgan and Harry Douglas out but they are more #2s and Thomas back in the Slot and #3 should go back to having some good stats. Also lots of Mock Drafts have us taking either someone on the D-line, either Couples or Ingram, while others have us taking a receiver like Kendall Wright and even trading down to get someone like Stephen Hill, who we all know moved into the 1st rounds of many people Mock draft after his spectacular Combine performance. But the i think we all will have a better idea of who we will take once we finish Free Agency.
Until then do u think Colston is a legit #1 or is better than advertised because of the high powered Saints Offense.
