With a new CBA, who cares about value!

I think we as fans forget that the old CBA is over and there is no more over paying rookies that never played a down in the NFL. Teams do not have to worry as much about matching value for that pick. In the 2011 NFL draft, the #7 overall pick was Aldon Smith. His contract was a four-year deal worth $14.38 million, including a $8.96 million bonus. So over four years he makes a whopping $1,355,000.00 per year.

My point is, if we know we need a wide receiver and a receiver has top 15 talent like Blackmon, Floyd, Jeffery, Hill, and Wright, DON'T MISS THEM! Trying to find a under the radar receiver and expecting immediate contribution is not being realistic. Offense sell tickets, but its also starting to win games. Its just my opinion, but it urks me when I see defensive end as our first pick in mock drafts. I know its a position we WANT to fill, but no one is laughing at our defense. I know you build a team from the inside-out, but this is year 4 for Gene Smith and its time his 1st round pick is out. Just keeping it teal.
