Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knight suffered an eye injury in an incident in a nightclub in Jacksonville a little over a week ago and had to have emergency eye surgery. There was some concern that the season could be in jeopardy for the fourth year defensive tackle, who is a starter on the Jaguars defensive line. On Monday the Jaguars held a media luncheon to discuss the upcoming NFL Draft, but head coach Mike Mularkey revealed Knighton could be out of action until around August.

Mularkey also indicated to the media present that the team will be monitoring Knighton's weight during the recovery process. There has been some speculation that the Jaguars could be looking at a player like Fletcher Cox early in the upcoming draft, who has the ability to place both defensive tackle and defensive end. During the meeting with the media, Jaguars general manager Gene Smith indicated the draft this year is deep at the defensive tackle position.
