Jarett Dillard, Cecil Shorts Stand Out In Jaguars Workouts

Stay connected for news and updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars got back onto the practice field on Tuesday for the beginning of offseason workouts and went back to the field today. The media was able to see a small portion of practice today and gave some quick observations on Twitter. According to Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union, wide receiver Jarett Dillard made a nice catch down the field but then ran a bad route that led to an interception by Drew Coleman that was returned for a touchdown.

John Oesher of Jaguars.com noted that Dillard played well and that Cecil Shorts III had some nice receptions down the football field. Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union also noted that Jarett Dillard had a nice day of practice and that new wide receiver coach Jerry Sullivan yells much like Joe Cullen does. We may wind up with two coaches with no voice by day two of training camp this year. Ganguli also noted that quarterback Blaine Gabbert was a "mixed bag", completing near 70 percent of his passes with a couple near interceptions.
