As we get closer to the 2012 NFL Draft you can kind a get a feel for a handful of players a team might go. For the Jacksonville Jaguars, the list of players who could come off the board at No. 7 overall is actually quite big and from a wide array of positions. One area the Jaguars could go is cornerback, and Evan Silva of Rotoworld has the Jaguars picking up a corner in his latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars -- South Carolina CB Stephon Gilmore
The Jaguars want to trade out of this pick, so much so that they've broadcasted it in their local newspaper. If they don't find a trade partner, GM Gene Smith will select the highest rated player on his board. League execs are extremely high on Gilmore, a prototypically-built corner with solid tape. Like Fisher before him, Smith overlooks Blackmon because this is such a receiver-rich draft.
Gilmore has been getting a lot of hype lately as a Top 15 pick and he's certainly someone I could see the Jaguars taking a flyer on. With Janoris Jenkins off the field issues, the No. 2 corner in the draft is kind of up in the air and will really come down to fit with the team.
