2012 NFL Draft: Jaguars Select Jeris Pendleton

Stay connected for news and updates

With the 228th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Ashland Eagles defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton. Pendleton was unranked in SB Nation's rankings at Mocking The Draft.

At 6-2, 328 pounds, Pendleton was a productive player at Ashland and displayed impressive athleticism with a 4.98 40 time at the Northwestern University Pro Day. One of the largest reasons for his fall to the seventh round, besides his small school status is the fact that he's 28 years old.

The 228th pick in the seventh round was the Jaguars sixth and final pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Barring a last minute trade to acquire one of the few trade-able seventh round picks, their 2012 draft class is set.

Stay tuned to BCC for news regarding the Pendleton selection and the rest of the 2012 draft class along with news about the players signed by the Jaguars in undrafted free agency.
