In this scenario I have the Jaguars trading back with the Chiefs to pick 11 in the first round and acquiring the chiefs 2nd round pick(44th overall).
Round 1(11)- WR Michael Floyd- Notre Dame- As good as Blackmon in my opinion and we pick up an extra two and still get him
Round 2 (38)- DE Vinny Curry- Marshall - Pass rusher we need. Impressed at the Senior Bowl
Round 2(from chiefs) (44)- OLB Lavonte David- Nebraska- great value here with do the everything linebacker. Bo Pelini called him a "coaches dream". great in coverage.
Round 3 (70) - TE Michael Egnew -Missouri - Gabbert get's his former go to weapon. Have a feeling he will end up in Jax. I remember Gene mentioning him as a good player in next years draft after we drafted Gabbert.
Round 4 (101)- CB Josh Norman - Coastal Carolina - Really impressed at the Shrine Bowl
Round 5 ( 142) WR Devon Wylie -Fresno St - I would take him in the 4th round but in this scenario we get him in the 5th which could happen. One of my favorite guys in this years draft. Dynamic player who will make immediate impact on Special Teams right away. 4.39 official forty at combine. Look him up
Round 6 (176) WR AJ Jenkins - Illinois - Jags get the hometown kid. Has elite speed and made a huge impact early in 2011. Has some route running questions but very good value here.
Round 7 (228) DE Ryan Davis- Bethune Cookman- Sleeper DE. Jags worked him out recently
Thoughts?
