In a press release today, the Jaguars and the rest of the NFL released the schedule for the 2012 NFL preseason. The Jaguars won't, as they usually do, face off against the other Florida franchises, the Dolphins and Buccaneers. Instead they will face the Falcons, Saints, Ravens and Giants. The preseason will kick off for the Jaguars against the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants at Everbank Field.
Here is the full preseason schedule for the Jaguars:
Week 1: New York Giants at Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 2: Jacksonville Jaguars at New Orleans Saints
Week 3: Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens
Week 4: Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars
The exact dates and times for each game have yet to be released, but the Jaguars announced on Twitter that the opening game against the Giants will be between August 9-11. The Jaguars also announced on Twitter that none of the four games will be nationally televised.
