Sign of the Jags to LA talk dying down

I know that Jags to LA talk forces many a Jag fan to reach to start tearing out their hair, however there is some good news on this front.

PFT, who often seems to be leading the charge on the Jags to LA talk has a new opinion piece up this morning that should delight any and all fans of the Jaguars (aside from the scant few who may actually live in LA).

With the Vikings’ stadium effort officially at the one-yard line with first down and goal and a five-man defense facing a 20-man offense, a new team must slide to the top of the "most likely to land in L.A." list. And it’s the Rams."

It seems the worm has turned and people are starting to pay attention to what really forces teams to move, stadium issues. With the Vikings getting their situation under control and getting what they want, the list of teams with stadium issues shortens by one and the Rams come into focus. The Raiders still are working on the joint facility idea with the 49ers if memory serves, but with Al Davis' passing and little to no signs from Mark Davis as to what the teams stadium plans are, the future for the Raiders appears a lot murkier. The Chargers are also still a possibility as the Spanos family has in the past year or two supposedly been shopping around the opportunity to buy a piece of the team (sound familiar Jags fans?), and San Diego (and CA as a whole really) can't publicly finance a stadium at this point. Bottom line, the fact that the Jaguars weren't mentioned even once in Florio's discussion of the LA franchise situation should be a good sign for all of us. Huzzah!
