Rashean Mathis, Aaron Kampman, Tyson Alualu Miss Practice

Stay connected for news and updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a few key defensive players still nursing injuries and offseason surgeries. Getting back on the field on Tuesday for some OTA practices left some guys still on the sideline, including cornerback Rashean Mathis, who skipped out individual drills but by some accounts on Twitter by media on the scene he looked to be running well but wasn't cutting. There were also some others missing practice, including defensive lineman Aaron Kampman and Tyson Alualu.

Alualu had surgery to finally repair his knee, so he's still recovering from that and it's not really a concern right now. Kampman on the other hand still hasn't practiced since about mid-way last season and his roster status still remains in the air. As far as I know, he's not yet been medically cleared to participate in practice. He should be a possible candidate for the PUP list when training camp roles around.
