On this week's "Jaguars This Week" show, Jaguars play-by-play announcer Brian Sexton reported that a Jaguars official informed him on Wednesday afternoon that the team achieved an eighty-six percent season ticket renewal rate from 2011 ticket holders.
Sexton also stated that in addition to the existing season ticket renewal sales, the team has sold an additional 5,440 season tickets this off-season. According to the team official, Sexton stated the team's goal is to sell 10,000 new season tickets before the start of the regular season. While that leaves the team with about 4,000 or so season tickets to sell in order to achieve that goal, in less than three months time, Sexton pointed out that the team stated they are ahead of new sales goals in comparison to July of '11.
A continued stream of positive reports on the progression of the offense, and a visible improvement in the pre-season, should help the team creep towards that goal. Of course, they can also be helped by their stars keeping their names off the police reports between now and July 26th.
