It looks like Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Aaron Ross will be missing part of training camp to watch his wife, Sanya Richards-Ross compete in the 2012 Olympics in London. Richards-Ross finalized her position to represent the U.S.A in the Women's 400 meters by winning the meet event on Sunday evening, tying a meet record running a 49.28.
Before signing with the Jaguars in NFL free agency, Ross wanted to make sure whichever team he signed with would allow him to spend a few days in London to watch his wife compete in the Olympics, as the Olympics fall during NFL training camps. "...Speaks volumes about what they're trying to preach here," Ross told the Associated Press.
It should only be for a handful of days for Ross to miss and he's been through all the OTA's and minicamp, so his grasp of the defensive scheme shouldn't be hindered any. Good luck to Sanya Richards-Ross.
