Aaron Ross made the statement when asked what he is most anticipating about going to London to watch his wife race in the Olympics. But it is a simple sentence that explains so much about his relationship with track star Sanya Richards-Ross.
"I was happy," Parmele, 26, said of signing a one-year contract with the Jaguars in early May after being released by the Baltimore Ravens before the start of last season. "I was out for a whole season, and I was more determined than ever to get on a team. I'd been working out and staying in good shape; you have to stay positive, you have to stay motivated. I knew I'd get an opportunity again and I wasn't going to let it slip by."
Former Steelers safety Anthony Smith has retired, Mark Kaboly reports.
The Steelers selected Smith out of Syracuse in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played three seasons with the Steelers, collecting 103 tackles, 81 solo, and four interceptions with Pittsburgh, before playing for the Jaguars, Rams, Packers, and then the Titans, for whom he played last season.
