How much of the salary cap are the Jaguars really spending in 2012??

A lot of people have been at odds ends about the amount of supposed cap space the Jacksonville Jaguars have available. Some say that it is smart. Some say it is stupid. Between being frugal to ensure you don't lose your core players to free agency, to using the money to make some of your top players paid like a top player(MJD,Scobee) and have them ready for the start of camp, all solutions are valid and have some reasoning to them. However, what most people are failing to recognize, is the actual amount the Jaguars are spending towards it's players...

According to fieldgulls.com(a Seahawks affiliate on SBNation), the Jaguars, counting the $31,000,000.00 rolled over from last years unused portion of the cap, are currently spending the MOST MONEY IN THE NFL TOWARDS THE SALARY CAP!! We are currently at $148.54 million dollars in spending, not including the soon to be signed Justin Blackmon contract. The Denver Broncos, who just sold the barn, for Peyton Manning come in at 2nd w/ $147.24 million. here is a link to said page.

Enjoy!! For my two cents, it scared the crap out of me. With a relatively flat cap the next few seasons, it makes me wonder how we are going to afford resigning Pot Roast,Rashad Jennings,Derek Cox, and possibly Zach Miller and Eben Britton. Not too mention MoJo will be pushing along for that new contract barring he gets injured(heaven forbid).

Let me know what you guys think of this in the comments, Thanks!!
