As we're getting ready to watch the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Baltimore Ravens in the preseason, we get to look at some 2012 NFL quarterback rankings courtesy of ESPN's John Clayton. If you read the headline, you obviously know second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert doesn't rank very highly.
32. Blaine Gabbert, Jacksonville Jaguars
Analysis: His rookie season was a disaster. Mike Mularkey has one season to make it right for Gabbert, or the Jaguars may be in the market for a new quarterback next year.
Arrow is pointing: down.
Well, I think it's rather obvious that John Clayton either had a typo with saying Gabbert's arrow is pointing down, or he quite literally hasn't watched any of the 2012 NFL preseason. Not only that, but if you read through some of the quarterbacks Clayton ranks ahead of Gabbert, it might make you have an anuerism.
Andrew Luck is ranked ahead, which is totally fine. The problem comes into play with guys like Ryan Tannehill and Brandon Weeden, who haven't even played a snap in a legitimate NFL game. But, the real rankings that make me want to light myself on fire come in at No. 27 and No. 28.
"Matt Flynn or Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks," and "Kevin Kolb or John Skelton, Arizona Cardinals."
Hold on... wait, what? You're not even ranking a person. You're ranking an "OR" higher?
