So I picked up Madden '13 today, the first Madden I've gotten since '97 (it's been awhile ok) and I noticed some things in regards to the Jags uniforms, stadium and character models. I'm a little disappointed to say the least and I'll point out my impressions within 5 mins of owning the game after the jump.
The first things I noticed were the uniforms. They have the current uniforms, including the black alternate. Big plus there. However, the throwback uniforms, basically our original uniform (teal and black), look more blue than the current uniforms. IIRC, the consensus when the current uniforms came out was that the teal was more of a light blue with some green in it, similar to Carolina's blue. They look pretty bad in my opinion. Also on the uniforms, they have last years set so you can see the difference in the stripes on both the pants and the jerseys. I don't remember the stripes on the jerseys looking as bad as they do in the game but maybe that's me.
Also, no picture of Greg Jones? Really? A pro bowl-caliber FB. Also, Gabbert still has long hair even though it's been several months since he cut it. I know they can't update everyone, but still for one of the starting QBs, I think you fix that. I'm pretty sure they would have for Brady.
The stadium I have to give them credit for, I think, since there are no tarps. Not sure if they were there in previous editions of Madden but it is kinda nice seeing Everbank completely full.
I'm just kinda venting about it because as the 'least popular' team in the NFL, they think they might be able to get away with it. Maybe you agree, maybe you don't. Just my .02.
