Derrick Harvey cut...again....

Stay connected for news and updates

I know many of you remember Mr. Derrick "Save The Defense" Harvey. Shack Harris' final going out hard pick. Extremely thankful that Gene Smith finally cut this garbage after way to many years of pretty much nothing shown (future potential or current). He was cut by the Jags July 29th, 2011. He then signed on with the Denver Broncos who had some injuries on their LB and D-line. He was subsequently not resigned with Denver this off season. On March 23rd he signed a one year tender with Cincy who now just released him. Good riddens dude. I'm happy we saved a few million dollars getting rid of that swinging door...Ugh. Harvey signed a one-year deal on March 23, 2012 in response to the team losing key contributors like Jonathan Fanene and Frostee Rucker over the offseason. Harvey, with eight career sacks in four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos, was largely expected to compete for a backup role as a defensive end....maybe Marvin Lewis and Mike Zimmer just didn't see a future with Harvey.
