As many of us know Madden 13 comes out later this month and EA has been slowly releasing its player ratings. Last week the QB ratings were released and we saw Blaine Gabbert at a 74 rating. This week EA has released the RB ratings and at the top of the RB's we find the Jaguar's own Maurice Jones-Drew with a 97 rating. MJD shares the 97 rating with Adrian Peterson but ESPN places AP #2 on the list. Though MJD is still not reporting to camp and Madden is only a game, it is still nice to see a Jaguar so highly rated. The link to the whole article is here. Here is the write-up about MJD's rating from ESPN:
1. Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars : 97 overall
From speed and acceleration to juke and spin, MJD not only does everything well in the game, he’s among the best in each category. Too bad the rest of the Jags are so bad in “Madden;” this might be the first year in which nobody wants to play as the best back in the game.
Of course ESPN had to get a dig in on the Jaguars but oh well. I am still very interested to see where Madden has rated Justin Blackmon , which I'm assuming we will find out next week if the pattern keeps up.
