The Jacksonville Jaguars got a bit of good news on the injury front on Wednesday when defensive end Austen Lane returned to practice in full pads, and has a good chance to return to the lineup on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
There wasn't much to celebrate from the game on Sunday, outside of no major injuries, so the return of Lane to the lineup is certainly worth celebrating somewhat as the team has been rolling with just three active defensive ends on game day.
The Jaguars have lacked a real pass rush through the first two games of the season and it really killed them in Week 1. Heading to Indianapolis against the Colts, the team will be facing an offensive line that is struggling somewhat, giving up five sacks and 10 quarterback hits so far on the season.
Any kind of help at the defensive end position right now is a welcomed addition.
