Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Eben Britton injured his foot in Week 1 of the NFL season against the Minnesota Vikings. Britton left the game in the first half, replaced by undrafted rookie center Michael Brewster. Britton left the game with a walking boot and has been either limited or out of practice since.
"We ran them pretty hard today. We’re going to see how they feel tomorrow," Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey told the media about Britton and Cameron Bradfield's status for this week. "I think to try to practice Wednesday with those guys in a limited role. Cameron Bradfield and Eben Britton worked pretty hard today and I’m kind of interested to see how they feel tomorrow. They will have a day off just like the rest of the players have tomorrow, and Wednesday they will be starting individual drills and see where it goes from there."
A source tells Big Cat Country that it's possible that Britton could be out a couple of more weeks, but after asking around with some other sources close to the team the idea is that Britton will be tested at practice on Wednesday and if it goes well could be cleared to play, barring a setback with his ankle.
