Bengals vs. Jaguars 2012: First half game thread

The Bengals defense has done a very good job of not allowing the big play in 2012; unfortunately for the team, they've been unable to stop virtually anything else. With the NFL's No. 29 ranked defense, they've allowed a whopping 6.4 yards per play, despite allowing just one play of more than 40 yards in 2012.

What do you make out of these numbers? The Bengals are giving up large chunks of yardage on a consistent basis. With Cameron Bradfield and Eben Britton back in the lineup for Week 4, the Jaguars could take advantage of that and reclaim the offensive form that had fans excited during the first half of Week 1.

On defense, though, the Jaguars will have to make sure to slow a Bengals offense that has had more explosive plays than any team in the NFL. Their five plays of 40+ lead the league, due mostly to the explosive nature of A.J. Green and little-known Andrew Hawkins. Getting to Andy Dalton (who looks a lot like Ganondorf to me...I can't be the only one) is going to be a priority on Sunday. Sack Ganon Dalton and the Jaguars can work to avoid the big play.
