The Jaguars fell in a 17-7 hole after allowing two second quarter touchdowns.
After spoiling two golden opportunities early in the first quarter, the Jaguars fell behind in the first quarter 3-0, but bounced back with a 2-yard touchdown pass to Marcedes Lewis from Blaine Gabbert early in the second quarter. It was all Bengals after that, though, as they scored two touchdowns and grabbed a 17-7 lead at halftime.
On the first possession for the Bengals, Andy Dalton threw an interception to Kyle Bosworth, but the linebacker fumbled the ball back to the Bengals. A few plays later, Rashean Mathis dropped what appeared to be a perfect interception-return-for-a-touchdown opportunity.
But where the momentum seemingly shifted was when the Bengals ran a fake punt 48 yards to set up a scoring opportunity that was aided by a pass interference call on Dwight Lowery in the end zone that drew the ire of many Jaguars fans.
The Bengals will begin the second half with the ball.
