Blaine Gabbert threw 10 incompletions and one interception. What happened?
Eight were the reciever's fault, two were not ideal decisions, one he got hit on the arm as he was throwing. Don't agree? Read after the jump.
1st Quarter
13:24 - Shorts. The same play as last week's 80 yard TD. On Shorts.
2nd Quarter
10:15 - Blackmon dropped it.
4:49 - Blackmon. Double covered on sideline. No chance for a completion.
:43 - Thomas. Gabbert's arm hit.
:31 - Shorts didn't come back. Knocked away.
3rd Quarter
4:39 - Shorts. Pass hit him in the hands. He dropped it.
4th Quarter
13:51 - Blackmon. Interception. Threw into triple coverage. Bad decision.
12:38 - Shorts. Drop.
8:18 - Elliott. Drop.
4:47 - Elliott. Drop. Tight coverage, but he didn't come back. Allowed defender to get a hand in.
4:43 - Blackmon. Tight coverage. Defender got a hand in.
Our passing game would be a lot better if the receivers caught balls that hit their hands and if they came back on come-back patterns.
