David Caldwell's contract with the Jaguars is for five years.

The Jacksonville Jaguars introduced new general manager David Caldwell to media and fans on Thursday afternoon, where Caldwell made waves by stating that he couldn't imagine a scenario where New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was a member of the Jaguars.

As far as Caldwell is concerned, he will be given plenty of time to rebuild the Jaguars franchise. According to reports after the press conference, Caldwell was given a five-year contract with the Jaguars. As all general manager and head coach contracts, Caldwell's deal will be guaranteed but the amount of his deal is unknown at this time.

Caldwell will now get on the process of searching for the Jacksonville Jaguars next head coach and begin planning on how to build the franchise for the next 4-5 years in the future. Caldwell, 38, will be just the second general manager in the Jaguars history, succeeding Gene Smith who was fired the Monday following the conclusion of the 2012 regular season.
