We are out here. Tonight I went on a little bit of a rant on twitter. I was talking about some of my opinions on war and what being an American means. Most of the my twitter followers get it. The owners of this team gets in. It is a very rare that a week goes by without hearing about what the Khans are doing for the local community.
In a day in age when a large amount of southerns are prejudice against all things appearing to be Muslim, the Khans are destroying those prejudices. They are supporting the Wounded Warriors, the local community, and are living the American dream.
From a dish washer to a NFL owner, Shad is someone we can all point our children to. He carries himself with class. He is a respectable man. His children look up to him. He is down to earth.
Im about that life. As a Marine who was shot in the battle of Fallujah, I am all about people that live apple pie, baseball and all other things America. Today we celebrate a new dawn for Jaguar fans. While we do that, dont forget the 19 year old that is sleeping in a hastily dug ditch in Afghanistan.
Keep our troops in your mind. Dont do so with sadness. Think about them with thanks. Party. Drink. Be merry. For tomorrow, they might die for you to do so.
