Not every assistant coach is able to interview for lateral moves, according to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports.

The Jaguars have allowed many of their assistants to interview and accept jobs with other teams, but they haven't extended that opportunity to all of their coaches, according to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports. The Jaguars value certain assistant coaches more than others and would like to allow a new head coach to make decisions regarding their retention, per Marvez.

On Wednesday morning, the Chiefs announced they hired offensive line coach Andy Heck from the Jaguars and he joins a list of Jaguars assistants that were seemingly allowed to go at their own will. However, with this report the list of "valued" coaches is up for speculation.

The two coaches that immediately come to mind as potential coaches that the Jaguars intend to keep are wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan and perhaps linebackers coach Mark Duffner. Quarterbacks coach Greg Olson was thought be some as a top coach that the Jaguars would like to keep, but they are only able to block lateral moves and Olson has reportedly received interest for offensive coordinator with the Oakland Raiders.
