At a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 10 to introduce Dave Caldwell as the new general manager of the Jaguars, the media was told after the conference that Caldwell received a five-year deal with the team.
Bradley spoke at the presser about his philosophy of focusing on consistent improvement, telling reporters "if our whole focus is on getting better, they'll have an opportunity to win a lot of games." He also attributed that same philosophy with the success of the Seahawks defense in 2012 that finished the year with the fewest points allowed.
Also enthusiastic about the hire was Caldwell who continuously said he knew that Bradley was the guy he wanted to work with right away. "It took me about 2 seconds to know I wanted to be with Shad and about 2.1 seconds to know I wanted to be with Gus," Caldwell said.
