The search for a coaching staff under new Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley has already begun and among the people "in strong consideration" for the defensive coordinator job, along with Bob Babich, is Seattle Seahawks defensive line coach Todd Wash.
Wash, 44, has a long history with Bradley whom he played and coached with at North Dakota State. A former outside linebacker with the Bison, Wash went to training camp with the Houston Oilers before turning his focus to coaching. After some coaching at the college ranks, Wash joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in as a defensive quality control coach while Bradley was the team's linebackers coach.
He was promoted to defensive line coach and held the position for three seasons, two of which were without Bradley on the coaching staff, before he joined Bradley's defensive staff as the defensive line coach for the Seahawks in 2011.
The Seahawks finished with the fewest points allowed in the NFL despite ending the season ranked No. 18 in sacks.
