Quick hit on Fisch

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

I'll have more tomorrow, but this is a GREAT HIRE by Jacksonville. As a Canes fan, his offense kept you glued to your seat. I have a more detailed post coming, but since its late I figured I'd share which players on the current roster will benefit the most from his hire.

Cecil Shorts is going to love playing for Coach Fisch. He loves to call, get ready for it, FOUR VERTS to hit a home run. Shorts is the Jaguars best WR, and I fully expect an even better year from him now that he gets to play in an offense that fits him.

Marcedes Lewis had a decent 2012 season. I think he'll have a very good 2013 season. Fisch is a TE groupie, he loves the position and tried to hoard them at Miami. Lewis up to this point, I feel has been underutilized. Whoever the QB is, will be told to find Lewis because it makes so much sense. I think we can safely cross out the screens to him as well.

Welcome back Maurice Jones-Drew! You just might get paid after Fisch reinvents you into Preist Holmes 2.0. Fisch is known as a pass happy guy, but he actually runs the ball a lot more than he gets credit for. In the passing game, he wants his RBs involved and I think he came at the right time for MJD. Fisch used backup Miami Hurricanes RB Mike James in a role I see him using MJD. Very heavy in the passing game (30 catches 300 yards 3 TDs) and save his legs and his body from running up the middle on first and second down.

Those are my three winners or biggest beneficiaries from this hire. I'll have more later including my favorite formation from this offensive genius.
