There is a bit of a shakeup at the top of Mocking the Draft's newest mock draft.
With the second overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, there are a bunch of different ways the Jacksonville Jaguars can go. Much of what they do however could be dependent upon what the Kansas City Chiefs do with the No. 1 pick in the draft. In Mocking The Draft's latest NFL Mock Draft, the Chiefs decide to take a left tackle with the first overall pick, so that literally leaves the Jaguars to pick whatever they want.
Here's where Mocking The Draft went with the selection:
2. Jacksonville Jaguars - Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
The Jaguars have needs across the board. With new general manager David Caldwell and a new head coach in Gus Bradley, Jacksonville is in the midst of a total reset. The team has a ton of needs, but it would still be tough to pass up on the top quarterback prospect available.
Some have soured on Geno Smith, but he is the clear cut top quarterback in this draft. Smith has big time upside because of his solid arm strength, top-notch deep accuracy and toughness in the pocket. He is a bit rough around the edges, but he has the best chance of any quarterback in this draft to develop into a franchise guy.
A lot of fans aren't down with a quarterback with the Jaguars first selection, which is understandable. I wouldn't be shocked if a quarterback was the pick however, given the fact that it's the most important position on the field.
