Reports are coming out saying the Jets are going to trade Revis this offseason. Revis Trade Report So it makes me think should we trade for Revis. He is the best cornerback in the league and has shown the ability to close off entire portions of the field, thus the Revis Island moniker. He isn't that old yet, only 27. Though he has had a few injuries bad enough to keep him out for chunks of time. We are back into rebuilding mode and trading draft picks doesn't seem like a smart idea to me, especially because Revis is going to want a top dollar contract, so probably in the 14-16 million a year range.

So I basically had a little argument with myself and decided I don't think it would be a good idea to pursue him. He is just going to be far too expensive I believe and we need draft picks more than we need one player. We are probably looking at two years of rebuilding before the team starts to look like what Caldwell and Bradley want so by that point Revis will be 29.
