I do not want a retread at all. I dont want Mike Nolan. I didnt want Andy Reid. I didnt want Mike Mularkey. I want fresh bones. I want new blood. I would love to see:
1. Kyle Shanahan. The work that he has done week to week adjusting the Redskins offense has been amazing. Changing from super athletic RGIII to concussed RGIII to Kirk Cousins to less athletic RGIII is flat out amazing. The guy is the opposite of Mike Mularkey. He makes great adjustments throughout the game. He sets things up for later on in the game. We haven't seen that kind of offensive prowess from a coach in Jacksonville since Jimmy Smith wasn't as crazy. If we do roll with Blaine for another year, is there anyone else that you would trust with the offense more? Blaine has strengths. He has to. Kyle might be the one to find them. If not, he could work with Teddy the next year.
2. Mike McCoy: Mike made Kyle Orton look serviceable and then totally rearranged the offense for Tim Tebow. Now, he leads Peyton Manning's offense. He clearly is a guy who plays off of strengths of the quarterback instead of a system. System guys seem to be a thing of the past. Mike Nolan is a system guy on defense. We need to move past that.
3. Darrel Bevell: The growth of the Seahawks offense is undeniable. The job that Bevell and company have done with the quick maturation of Russell Wilson is very impressive. I would love to see that kind of offense every week in the Bank.
4. Bill Parcels: Billy is full of fresh ideas. Although you may not have heard of him, he once called Terry Glen "she." That's pretty awesome.
5: Forget number 4. I just read on the INTERNET that Parcels is suffering from irritable bowel syndrome and after this year, Ive had enough diarrhea.
Oh, I dont really want Chip Kelly, either. Chip is a stupid name, nephew.
