Keim was reportedly one of two finalists for the Jaguars GM vacancy.
One of the two reported finalists for the Jaguars general manager position got a job elsewhere on Tuesday when the Arizona Cardinals announced that Steve Keim was promoted to their vacant GM spot.
That leaves Atlanta Falcons Director of Player Personnel, Dave Caldwell, as the presumably target for the Jaguars GM vacancy; however, he received a second interview from the New York Jets on Tuesday and is considered one of Woody Johnson's favorite to fill the void left by the firing of Mike Tannenbaum. On Monday, Caldwell had his third interview with Jaguars owner Shahid Khan for the GM position.
Prior to reportedly narrowing the general manager search to two candidates, the Jaguars had reportedly interviewed San Francisco 49ers Director of Player Personnel Tom Gamble and New York Giants Director of College Scouting Marc Ross.
Keim has worked his entire NFL career with the Cardinals after joining the team in May 1999 as a regional scout.
