st round this is the most tricky pick because depending on our Gm/Head coach and the chiefs we could go plethora of places with this pick. All of these depend on if the chiefs select geno smith #1 overall which is likely then if not then we'll probably take him. I see us taking Jarvis jones IF daryl smith leaves in free agency or Star lotulelei if knighton leaves through free agency. I'd rather us take Jarvis since our linebackers are pretty average and Jarvis is a game changer. I wouldn't mind star lotulelei he and jarvis both fit into a 3-4 scheme nicely but I see jarvis being more of an impact player. I also wouldn't mind Dion jordan he's 6'7-6'8 245 he's fast and lanky he's a pretty good pass rusher and he can defend wide receivers in the slot I just don't believe well take him at 2 unless he has an amazing combine. I'm not very high on damontre moore has has great numbers but when i watch his film he doesn't stand out very much and iv'e seen him get washed out of plays by smaller tight ends. Bjoern Werner has good numbers too and he's relatively new to football but I don't think he's as good as jarvis, dion, lotulelei.
nd round this is also very tricky and dependent on our 1st round choice. Margus Hunt DE SMU 6'8 280 runs a 4.6 supposedly,Jesse Willaims NT alabama, kawann short dt purdue, Xavier rhodes CB fsu,Lane Johnson OT oklahoma,D.J fluker,ALEC OGLETREE,jackson jeffcoat, alex okafor, sharif floyd. The list goes on and on I see us taking shariff floyd he's been great at florida this year and has also played a little bit of de so I like his versatility. I could also see Xavier rhodes being taken here he's a big bump and run corner we could use opposite cox if he gets resigned.
rd There's actually good offensive line prospects here Larry warlord UNC could end up here but I see us taking a playmaker like Bacarri rambo or kenny vacarro, prosinski has been forced into action and has't performed well.
th I'm pretty sure we have two of these from the mike thomas trade. So our backfield has been awful we could use a guy like mike gillislee, kenjon barner , knile davis, change of pace backs. Brian winters LT has been a very good player this year for kent state and has held up nicely even against substantial competition like alabama as far as switching from left to right tackle who knows but he has been a very solid player and has good size. Jordan Reed is a joker tight end but he's an excellent blocker and receiver the natural comparison would aaron hernandez since they both attended florida.
th:DRI ARCHER i know he is WAY undersized 5'8 175 especially for a RB but he plays a lot like T.Y. Hilton he is very quick very shifty and at that size is a very small target. He lines up at wr/rb/kr and does work at all of these positions iv'e heard he runs in the 4.2 range which would be speed we could use on special teams. Marcus Davis from Vt wouldn't be a bad pickup he's a big wide receiver and makes plays down the field. Denard Robinson is an athlete he's small yes but he can play qb, wr,rb so why note take the risk he's undersized for all of those but look what russel wilson has done at qb i'm not saying denard is anything close to russell but he's an example.
th:If we don't take a rb in the other rounds I wouldn't mind marcus lattimore, I know I know he destroyed his leg and had a knee injury the year before but frank gore and willis mcgahee suffered knee injuries and have gone on to have great careers. Devin Taylor another usc product wouldn't be a bad pickup here he has great size if we paired him with maybe jim tomsula he could be a premier pass rusher iv'e heard he's always had the tools just never put it on the field so hopefully a good d-line coach could change that.
th Tyrann mathieu: Some team will probably take a risk on him before the 7th unless he's had that vontaze burfict kind of year I don't see him ever becoming a number 1 or 2 cb on any depth chart but I think he'd have great success in the nickel plus he's a great punt returner. Joseph fauria 6'7 TE ucla so far our te's from ucla haven't been bad so i mean why not it's the 7th round potter and miller aren't cutting it. Jasper collins another mount union wr wouldn't be bad either.
