Cecil Shorts could play for Jacksonville Jaguars - NFL.com

Shorts entered last weekend's tilt with the Denver Broncos nursing a groin injury. He left with his arm in a sling after spraining his right shoulder on the third snap of the game. Jags coach Gus Bradley wouldn't rule out Shorts' availability for Week 7. "He could play," Bradley said Monday, per the Jaguars' official website. "He's sore now, so we'll know more in a couple of days. The good news is the joint is stable." The Jags would like to deploy their young trio of receivers -- Shorts, Justin Blackmon and rookie Ace Sanders -- together as much as possible this season as they build for the future.

Setting the table: Jaguars-Chargers

Here’s this week’s Setting the Table: Storylines and stuff to watch as the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-6) prepare to play the San Diego Chargers (3-3) at EverBank Field Sunday at 1 p.m. The buzz. The storyline around the Jaguars early this week is obvious: Improvement. But while the team progressed in a loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley said it wasn’t enough. That improvement? It needs to result in victories. That hasn’t happened yet this season, with all six losses coming by double digits, including a 35-19 loss to the Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Sunday.

Jaguars Mascot Wears Pink Bikini, Poses With Giraffe After Losing Bet to Broncos

Jaxson DeVille is kind of a weird dude. The Jacksonville Jaguars mascot lost yet another bet this past weekend, forcing him to subject himself to some more public humiliation. Jaxson got to avoid any physical harm this time around — he wasn’t so lucky two weeks ago — but he did have to pose in a pink bra following the Jags’ loss to the heavily favored Broncos on Sunday. We have no idea how the giraffe, the beagle and the American flag play into the situation. But, the mascot did donate $1,000 to breast cancer research as part of the bet, so that’s pretty cool. Check out the final product in the photo below.
