49ers vs. Jaguars final score: Jacksonville defeated soundly in London debut, 42-10

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The 49ers were in control of Sunday's game at Wembley Stadium from start to finish, easily defeating the winless Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made their debut overseas at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, where they will play a home game in each of the next three seasons, but were easily defeated by the San Francisco 49ers, 42-10.

Leading the way for the 49ers offensive onslaught was quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who led the team on touchdown drives on each of the team's first four possessions. Kaepernick completed 10-of-16 passes on the night for 164 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 54 yards and two touchdowns.

For the Jaguars offense, not much went right under the direction of quarterback Chad Henne. While he completed 29-of-45 attempts for 228 yards, he never got the offense going early and missed on a pair of opportunities to score in the redzone.

Sunday was just another weekly reminder that the talent difference between the Jaguars and the upper-echelon teams of the NFL is large. Still, glimpses of talent from players like Mike Brown and Denard Robinson continue to offer optimism for a team that actually looks like it might be halfway-functional on offense with a decent quarterback.

The Jaguars will now head into their bye week with an 0-8 record before continuing the season in Week 10 with a road trip to play the Tennessee Titans.
