The Seattle Seahawks have released Wide Receiver Stephen Williams. At 6"5 208 lbs the 27 yr old from Toledo possess great size at the position. He had a very strong preseason before suffering a concussion. He recorded 7 receptions for 236 yards and 3 touchdowns. He lost playing time due to fateful drops but the kid is a great deep threat. Like a Sidney Rice he possesses great height, jumping ability, speed but with a slim frame. He finds himself in great position to catch balls but doesn't always come through on it. With only 9 receptions and 101 yards he doesn't have much experience but the Seahawks were very high on him. They thought highly enough of him to keep him as their 5th receiver even though he didn't offer much versatility on Special Teams. Look for a potential waiver claim here, Gus got a glimpse of Williams last year in Seattle.
