Gus Bradley pleased with Johnathan Cyprien's progress

Jaguars rookie safety Johnathan Cyprien has been one of the bright spots on defense with his play improving each week.

One of the things fans can watch for during the Jacksonville Jaguars 2013 season is the progress of it's rookie class, as wins don't look to be on the horizon. One defensive player in particular, Johnathan Cyprien, seems to be getting better and better each week, which has caught some praise from head coach Gus Bradley.

"Each week he's been around the ball," Bradley said in his Monday press conference. "I would like to see him not make so many tackles, when you're a middle-third safety, but a lot of those tackles he was the down safety and involved in the run fit."

The 2013 second-round pick ended the game with 12 tackles, leading the team.

"He's really become a sure tackler," Bradley continued. "He takes a lot of pride in it in practice and to him every rep is a tackling rep. He demonstrates it in practice and now it's showing up on tape."

Cyprien isn't free from mistakes however, as he took a bad angle on a big play by St. Louis Rams wide receiver Tavon Austin, but overall it appears Cyprien is improving each game.
