As we all know November 30th, 1993 was the birth of a franchise. But not only that, it was the birth of the most successful franchise, short-term, in NFL history. Maybe you're too young to remember, but no franchise accomplished as much as the Jaguars did in a shorter period of time. Unfortunately, we still have yet to achieve the ultimate goal of the Super Bowl but soon hopefully.
Anyways, I want to know where you were, what you thought about, on November 30th, 1993. Did your parents fight in the Dillard's (or maybe it was still Mason Blanche, or some other department store) like mine did to get that inaugural shirt. You know the one that reads, "Born November 30th, 1993, Jacksonville Jaguars" with the now 'retired' original Jaguars logo. Did you watch on TV as the local sports reporters (Dan Hicken and Sam Kouvaris) were trying to find out if we were awarded the team? I know my family was. I had just begun following football and being from Virginia, the Redskins were my team (still have a soft spot for them) but I had a new allegiance as we had lived in Jacksonville for 5 years at that point. I lulled for a bit, but my wife brought me back when we began to date 4 years ago. Now we're DTWD. Are you? So where were you when the Jaguars were born? What did you think? Who still has original logo stuff (that you're wearing on Thursday, right)? Sound off Jags fans.
