As we celebrate our third win, I took a look at the final four games and believe that it is indeed possible for the Jaguars to win out. Remember, I said possible and the probability would be more like 2 games. Here are my opinions on why I believe.
Houston Texans @ Jacksonville: No team is reeling more at the moment than the vaunted Texans. They show signs of their vast talent, but also find ways to lose winnable games. The new young QB Case Keenum is inconsistent so far. Although Andre Johnson and Ben Tate had a good week against the Patriots. The Jaguars will have a short week to work on their defensive backfield, but so to will the Texans have in order to prepare Case Keenum. This game although it is possible, the probable outcome will go in the Texans favor.
Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville: EJ Manuel and CJ Spiller can certainly be threats at times. Manuel is also experiencing the same issues as many young QBs with his inconsistency. The issue with the Bills falls on the Defense which gives up to many big plays. This too is a winnable game for the Jaguars and the victory tilts towards the home team. Prediction: Jaguars win an ugly game.
Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville: Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the most experienced QB which faces the Jaguars in the last quarter of the season. He has demonstrated poor judgment at crucial times and if the Jaguars can get an early lead, Fitzpatrick is more likely to make mistakes. There are still threats on this team most notable is Chris Johnson and the Jags must stop the run. Titans defense is an average group and can play tough or bad on any given week, the factor here will be in the trenches. Whoever wins the line of scrimmage will win the game. Still this is winnable; although I would call this a toss up, I'm going with the home team advantage JAGUARS win.
Jacksonville @ Indianapolis Colts: In most cases the Colts get the nod in this match up. However, this is week 17 and the Colts will already have 1. the AFC South title and 2. Not have a first week bye in the playoffs (seed 3 or 4). As a result, the Colts will bench the majority of their playmakers if not all of them. On the other hand, Jacksonville will be hungry once more and smell blood in the water. Their starters will face the backups and the Jaguars will win a meaningless game. Jaguars Win.
So, what is the opinion of my fellow viewers and as I'm not a professional sports analyst I'm certain I was pretty vague on the games. If you have more insight, please share.
