With Mariota staying in school (it appears Hundley will follow suit) where do we turn? Do we reach on a QB that maybe isn't as superior and turn to another need (Pass Rush)? Depending on what happens with the rest of the way, (assuming we can't get Teddy) do we look at Clowney? I think Caldwell could take the BAP and go with Clowney/Barr to play our LEO position and attempt to grab a QB in the second or even target a FA to be. I think it is hard to pass on a QB if you are picking in the top 5, however at what point do you stop drafting a QB just because you need a QB (Gabbert). Seattle had a dominant defense and they built up their Oline before they snagged their gem Russell Wilson. I'm not suggesting we will get a mid-round QB and be successful like the Seahawks... that's rare, but I think it's pretty tough to pass up Clowney with Mariota going back to school. Hell, we could get the best player two years in a row when picking from the number two spot.... What bad luck. I realize its hard to go anywhere without a QB (look at Houston) but it's not everyday a prospect with the physical talent passes through the draft... I guess it will be interesting this coming May.
I know this will probably cause a stir... let the games begin...
*Please Note if Hundley decides to come out I believe he is worth the pick*
If you selected other please let me know who and why.
